Booking Terms
Once you have chosen your preferred holiday dates, a 25% deposit is payable on booking, the balance shall be payable 6 weeks before commencement of rental. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before commencement, the total fee is payable.
Cancellation
Any cancellation made by the client, for whatever reason, will be in writing direct to Oldfields Farm, Snelston, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 2EN. Upon receipt of this cancellation notice, we will endeavour to re-let the cottage for the selected booking period. If Oldfields Farm does re-let the cottage for the whole period, it shall refund all monies paid (less an administration fee of £30 per booking). If we are only able to re-let for part of the period booked, then we shall refund an amount proportionate to the monies paid [less a) the lost rental for the un-let period and b) an administration fee of £30 per booking]. In the event that we are not able to re-let the cottage at all, all monies paid by the client shall be forfeited or become due.
Oldfields Farm strongly recommend that clients take out their own cancellation insurance.
Breakages/Damage to Property
Whilst we appreciate that the odd accident does happen, please note that all breakages, stains and damage etc be reported to the owners as soon as possible (and preferably before the morning of departure so any repairs can be made). Do not attempt to either wash or repair any items yourselves.
We request that the barns be treated with respect and be left in the same state of cleanliness & tidyness in which they were found. An extra cleaning charge may be incurred if this is not the case.
To this end, a good housekeeping deposit is required for both self catering properties £100 for Handel’s Muse & £200 for Gorsey Hayes. The deposit must be paid before your holiday commencement and will be refunded within 2 weeks of your return, provided there is no damage. Any cost of repair or replacement items will be accounted for and deducted from your deposit prior to being refunded.
