Looking forward to Spring
Luckily we haven’t been too badly affected at Oldfields by all the wet weather we’ve had. The fields have drained away quite well due to their sloping nature, and we’ve only had small areas of the garden waterlogged. Hopefully Spring will bring some improved weather enabling us to get out more to work in the gardens.
One part of the garden needs some particular attention, and we’re having a garden designer visit in March to help turn our ideas into a reality. This should involve improved landscaping, an improved barbeque area, and a hard standing for our new ‘Breeze House’, with the aim of having everything completed for guests to enjoy during the summer.
We’re starting to think about how we can further improve facilities for our guests in future, and we will be taking advice on the potential to convert our stables into a 2-bedroom ‘dog friendly’ accommodation unit in the next year or so.
Watch this space for more details as things develop.
