Our welcome folder (and Places of Interest pages) contain numerous visit and activity ideas which include Alton Towers (5 miles with discounted tickets), Uttoxeter Racecourse (8 miles with popular fixtures), & Chatsworth/Buxton Spa/Bakewell/Haddon (all within 35 mins). Retail therapy is also available in nearby Stoke-on-Trent with numerous bargain factory shops such as Wedgwood, (& Royal Doulton), Portmeirion, Moorcroft & Emma Bridgewater.
Researching this information has opened our eyes to the wonderful variety of attractions which we hope will reflect the differing tastes of our visitors. There’s walking, cycling, horse riding, 4×4 driving, paragliding, zip wire forest adventure, quad biking, swimming, bowling/cinema, paint balling, shooting, fishing, wine tasting, and even sailing (should the mood take you). We don’t mind making reservations for our guests or organising some activities on your behalf. We can also take you to our closest restaurant in Denstone, the Tavern, if no-one wanted to drive/…. or possibly wanted a drink or two!
