Do you want to stay somewhere that dogs are tolerated or somewhere they are welcomed with open arms? At Oldfields Farm we LOVE dogs. When you arrive we’ll show you straight to our large, private, enclosed garden (minimum 4ft fencing all around) as we know how important it is for dogs to have a wee and stretch their legs after a long journey. In the cottage there will be locally made dog treats, a cosy throw on the sofa so everyone can cuddle up together, food and water bowls, compostable poo bags and towels for wiping muddy paws. We also have an indoor doggy shower room with hot water so you can wash off after muddy walkies. And when it’s hot, we have a paddling pool for cooling off. As Handel’s Muse is a bijou cottage it can comfortably accommodate two large/medium dogs or three smaller dogs for an additional one-off charge of £10 for dogs per week. This extra charge allows us to provide you with a special welcome pack, including locally made dog treats, as well as to pay for additional cleaning required. Please let us know when booking if your dog has any dietary requirements so we can personalise their welcome pack. There is a good selection of maps and booklets with details of dog friendly walks/pubs and we are happy to recommend our favourites. Dogs are very welcome on the sofa in the living room but we kindly ask that they don’t sleep on the bed. We have enough room for you to bring their own beds or we can provide bedding for you, just let us know when you book. We also have space to store any travel crates. Dogs are free to go anywhere within the cottage and the enclosed garden but we do ask that they remain on a lead in the rest of the grounds. All pets must be fully vaccinated and wormed or have a suitable alternative, such as titre testing. We are unable to accept puppies younger than 9 months old and all dogs must not be left alone unless by prior agreement. Any damage or breakages will be deducted from your £100 good housekeeping deposit.
